No data is collected or transmitted to the developer by this application.
No personal information, usage statistics, analytics, identifiers, or diagnostics leave your device. There are no ad networks, no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no phone-home requests.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Saved stations, player preferences, and the local database stay inside the app sandbox on the device where Honuin is installed.
- In your private iCloud. Honuin can optionally sync saved stations and listening-budget state across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit). This data stays in your private iCloud container, accessible only to you. iCloud sync can be turned off in the app's settings or at the system level.
Station directory
The built-in station directory is provided by Radio Browser, a community-curated, free catalog of internet radio stations. Requests to Radio Browser carry no personally identifying information.
Purchases
In-app purchases, including the optional Supporter subscription, are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Payment details and billing information are processed by Apple and are not exposed to Honuin.
Network traffic
Honuin makes network requests only to:
- Radio Browser, when the community station directory is browsed.
- The individual radio streams you choose to play. Stream audio is fetched directly from each station's broadcast URL, which is operated by that station, not by us.
- Apple-operated services (iCloud, StoreKit, the App Store) as part of normal platform behavior.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, this page and the "Last Updated" date above will be revised. Material changes will also appear in the app's release notes.
